What Car Do you drive? For me, I’d love to drive Andrew’s big historic triumph TR3A Group SA sports car.

In historical series car racing, it’s all about cars. That’s where the passion comes from.

But they are not only there to be beautiful. Cars have to drive fast and also drive quite hard.

Pictured, Andrew Gibson’s Triumph TR3A Group SA is a historic sports car. He has raced for nearly twenty years in races across NSW and Victoria-always impeccably presented, as you see here. On a sunny racing day on the box, it is a magnet for spectators and photographers.

It is Australia’s fastest track in the historic race.

We started working with Andrew in 2000. The car reacted enormously to the suspension improvements and until 2001 it won Class and overall victories in the Sa Group and combined group events.

Part of the attraction of Series car racing is the freedom to modify the car, but without the high cost you need in modern Series car racing. You can build a fast racing car without stretching the budget too much and without modifying the car. If you need Coax grip and frame balance without massive rubber to make the handle, it will be a fascinating exercise.
