Thunder Alley Gears Up to End 2010 Season
Evans Mills, NY… Caprara’s Thunder Alley Speed
Park is gearing up to close out the 2010 season. After a very
successful season the tracks General Manager Greg Smith is preparing
for the tracks final two weeks of racing. In honor of the Labor Day
holiday, track management has announced that there will be no racing
on Saturday, September 4, 2010. Racing will resume on Saturday,
September 11, 2010 with all regular divisions along with a recently
added Enduro to the line up. The 2010 racing season will come to a
close on Saturday, September 18, 2010 when the track will then crown
their point’s champion.
In addition to these upcoming changes to the race schedule, the
track’s management has also decided that for the remainder of the
season the Limited Super’s will have the chance to race as part of
the open wheel division on the nights in which the limited supers
are not in regular racing competition.
“We’ve had a great 2010,” stated General Manager Greg Smith. “I’ve
had a lot of fun this season with everyone at Thunder Alley. We’ve
had a great season with a lot of fantastic racing in all our
divisions. As we get ready to close out the 2010 season we look
forward to the week off next week for Labor Day. A lot of our
drivers had come to us with prior commitments and many asked for the
opportunity to take some extra time and get their cars ready for the
final two weeks. We have some exciting points battles going on and
we look forward to the racing that all our divisions will bring.”
Gates will open at 3:30pm on Saturday, September 11th with racing
action beginning promptly at 6pm. General Admission price is $7
while pit admission is $20. The track also holds open practice every
Wednesday evening at 5pm. For complete information on the 2010

Thunder Alley Gears Up for

Evans Mills, NY... Thunder Alley Speed Park is
gearing up for their 2010 season.
Some changes have been in work for promoters Charlie and Billy
Caprara, who entering their seventh season at the promotional helm
of the Evans Mills, NY facility. Workers have been busy through the
winter to prepare for the exciting season. This past fall the dirt
was removed from the speedway surface, as the track joins a number
of other facilities in New York State who had dirt surfaces in 2009
but has switched to asphalt in 2010.
The Caprara brotherď's
have recently hired Greg Smith as the General Manager of the
facility. Greg has been involved in auto racing across New York
State with his own business, Can-Am Enterprises. The Caprara brothers
along with Greg Smith have put together a schedule this year at the
track where they will entertain divisions of cars that formerly ran
at the Adirondack Speedway while also working in conjunction with
the Limited Supers from Oswego Speedway. On a weekly basis the
divisions of cars will be 4 cyl. thunder stock cars, 4 cyl. thunder
stock trucks, 4 cyl. sport compacts, 4 cyl. light trucks and Thunder
Alley Super Stocks. There will also be dates on the schedule where
there will be Late Models along with Open Wheel Divisions. The open
wheel divisions consist of DIRTcar style Big Block Modifieds, 358
Modifieds, Sportsman and IMCA.
Weekly racing at
Thunder Alley will begin at 6pm with a $7 grandstand admission and a
$20 pit admission. The Thunder Alley season will kick off on
Saturday, April 17th with practice for all divisions, with a
schedule that will run Saturday's weekly until September 18, 2010.
The first regularly schedule week of points racing will be on
Saturday, April 24th. A complete schedule for the 2010 season can be
