AMB Transponders Mandatory at Can-Am and Thunder Alley

Effective as of July 5th, 2008 AMB Transponders will be mandatory at Caprara’s Thunder Alley Speed Park and Caprara’s Can-Am Motorsports Park, LTD. The AMB Transponders will be mandatory for the Big Block, 358 Modifieds, and Sportsman divisions at the tracks.

“We have had the AMB system for years at both tracks. This year we have not really clamped down on making out drivers get transponders. Effective July 4th drivers have to have them,” stated Chip Burdick. “We have series races coming up that mandate them, and DIRTcar Racing as a whole mandates them at all DIRTcar race tracks. There are now no more options for our drivers. They are mandatory.”

Drivers looking to purchase AMB transponders for their cars can do so at www.amb-it.com or by contacting AMB directly at (678) 816-4000. AMB transponders can be purchased for anywhere from $380 to $420, depending on if drivers intend to purchase a direct powered or a rechargeable battery transponder.

Information on the 2008 season can be found on Can-Am’s website at www.canammotorsports.com, on Thunder Alley’s website at www.thunderalleyspeedpark.com, or by contact Chip Burdick at (315) 778-3407.
